Resale Shop

  • Monday - Saturday: 9am - 4pm
Our Resale Shop started as a casual comment among volunteer friends during a garage sale fundraiser in the fall of 1997 — the last garage sale the Center was to have. While viewing the plethora of left-over clothing, furniture, books, dishes and glassware, collectibles, one volunteer commented, “With all this stuff, we ought to start a store.” So they did.
In its first official month of operation in January 1998, the Resale Shop sold an impressive $1,300 in donated goods, and was averaging $5,000 per month by the end of its first year of operation. Now, the Shop is averaging a growing $33,000 per month, bringing the cumulative income to over $3,700,000.
